The farm is situated 52 km from Adelaide near Post Retief in the foothills of the Winterberg mountain in the Adelaide district. Two well-constructed roads have recently been built to access the higher mountain veld. This veld, consisting of a high percentage of rooigras, is predominantly used in the summer months while the lower valleys and kloofs are spared for the winter months.

The Post Retief Country Club lies a short distance from the farm which acts as a hub for the local community.
